My understanding is that there is a decrease in amplitude AND area in conduction block, but why is there not supposed to be an increase in duration as well? |

The criteria for definite Conduction Block is to have duration increase <30%.Increase in duration is due to differential conduction across nerve fibers and resultant phase cancellation results in low amplitudes. |
