Possibly because the MUSK protein is on the post-junctional membrane and so increasing ACh activity upstream from the MUSK protein will not improve NMJ dysfunction.

Thanks axon :) What doesn't make sense to me though, is that anti-AChR antibodies also work post-synaptically, and anti-AChR + MG responds to MG. So isn't it odd that MUSK + patients would respond differently? Both antibodies effectively reduce the safety factor/EPP by decreasing the number of AChRs, but just by different mechanisms.
